 LAURA KNIGHT, FOUNDER

I am a freelance Art Director, writer, ocean advocate, and foodie. For years I was single and, for the most part, enjoyed the dating process. With a busy work schedule living in L.A., I mostly depended on dating apps. Any opportunity I had to meet someone new, was a chance to learn what I liked (and don't!) in a partner. When swapping stories with friends, I saw perspectives and expectations shift as we got older. It was around the age of 28 that I started looking for a serious relationship (versus doing my casual thing). I'm not going to lie... it truly sucks when someone doesn't like you back.

"You deserve to have your needs met!" is the dating mantra that I continuously heard. This is true, but nobody's perfect.

I started Find Me The One with a mission to give others hope and find comfort that you are not alone! This blog first launched with a few Q&A's with close friends that were willing to share their ups, downs, and all around in their dating journey. Not all of us want to settle down, however with each match-- be open to try new things, be safe, and remember to have fun in the moment...
your experience may make a great story!

What's the point of
a Dating Blog?

Our small team operates from a place of curiosity, non judgment, and welcomes conversations that crack open taboos in dating.
We curate interesting stories that connect and resonate with people from all walks of life. We also know that not every dating or relationship experience ends with a 'happily-ever-after',
which is why we include personal experiences that inspire
self-reflection and tips to nurture connections worth keeping.

Take some time to explore the blog and find what sparks your interest. Feel free to reach out if you would like to contribute or collaborate on a project together. Read on and enjoy!
